While the XF 50mm f/1.0 R WR and XF 56mm f/1.2 R are both highly impressive, the Sep 5, 2018. I currently have the xf 18-55mm and have decided to get one wide angle prime (wider than 18mm) and a faster 35 or 50mm prime. I've alrdy ordered a 12mm f2 wide angle and now i can't decide wich one to pair it with, the 35 or 50mm. From what I've read the 50mm is slightly better than the 35. I will probably keep the 18-55 (I'm only A few months back I reviewed the newest Fujinon lens in the Fuji “trinity” of fast, F2.8 zoom lenses. That lens (the XF 8-16mm F2.8 WR) makes up the wide end of the spectrum while the XF 50-140mm F2.8 OS WR covers the telephoto end. In between those lenses lies the most commonly used option – the jack of all trades – the XF 16-55mm F2.8 Another consideration is the whole kit. The 18-55 works well with the 14 and 50-230 for a lightweight kit with 58mm filter threads. The 18-50 has an odd filter size. It matches with the 56mm f1.4 if you're doing serious bokeh work. If you're doing a true one lens solution I might like the 18-50. Fujifilm XF 23mm f/1.4 R - Review. Fujifilm XF 23mm f/2 R WR Image Quality. A quick disclaimer on the following comparison. I did two 25K bike rides over the weekend. I decided to bring the f/2 version on day one and the f/1.4 version on day two. I was touring the city with friends so I did not have time to set up proper comparison photos. Going both wider and longer, with a constant maximum aperture of f/4, the XF 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR offers a focal length range equivalent to 24-122mm in 35mm equivalent terms. This is a very useful The second 35mm in the Fuji X mount lineup is the Fujinon XF 35mm f/2.0 WR. This is the one I decided to get and the one I am writing about today. What I like: Size and weight – this lens is tiny and light. It easily fits into a pocket and barely takes up space in a camera bag. Because of this, the 35mm f/2 WR is a staple in my travel kit. A sleek short telephoto prime for FUJIFILM X-series mirrorless cameras, the black XF 50mm f/2 R WR offers a 76mm equivalent focal length to suit a variety of applications, including portraiture and still lifes. The lightweight design and bright f/2 maximum aperture benefit working in low-light conditions and also afford a high degree of control The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 50mm F2 R WR lens is the third entry in the compact F2 prime series for the X mirrorless system and boasts excellent image quality. Fujifilm Fujinon XF 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 R The 35mm f2.0 lens is really a step up in terms of build quality from Fujifilm lenses. It’s one of the few lenses where you don’t have to worry about the aperture and focus changing if you pick the camera up wrong. Both rings have some really good yet smooth resistance giving the lens a very solid feel in the hand. The Fujifilm XF 50mm F1.0 R WR is bigger, bulkier and heavier than any other Fuji XF prime lens of a similar focal length. In fact, among all XF primes only the XF 200mm F2 is heavier or has a broader barrel, while only the 80mm, 90mm or 200mm primes are longer. (The 200mm F2 absolutely dwarfs the 50mm, though.) The XF50mmF2 R WR is a mid-telephoto lens with a focal length equivalent to 76mm *1 that delivers the very best results from Fujifilm’s unique X-Trans CMOS sensor. Its compact and lightweight design features 9 elements in 7 groups, including one aspherical ED lens, and has an inner focusing system *2, driven by a stepping motor *3 for fast and silent autofocusing.
